this my friends, is one of the greatest movies I've watched in ages.
[and I watch a lot of 'em, so that's saying sthg]

basically it's one of those thrill/suspense movies...
but what makes it different from those normal flicks
is that this one actually has characterization.

this becomes a psychological thirller in that sense (:

well. every wondered what the worst flight can be like?
this'll tell you.

lemme speedup that process by telling you a little too!

basically rachel mcadams is a hotel manager...
and has to take a red eye [night flight] to miami...
to meet up with her father.
and where there's this hotshot politician coming down to her hotel.

she meets this 'perfect gentleman' kind of person in the airport...
[played by cillian murphy]
and they get acquainted during the flight delay.
mutual attraction, one would presume.

then what are the probabilities?! her seat's the one next to his.
[and it's a window seat btw].

scared of flying... she's all nervous about the take off...
but no calm prevails for her once that's complete.

her dear new friend reveals that he's head of an assasination ring.
that she has to call her hotel NOW [through the satellite phone]
and ask them to switch the room of the politician's according to what he says.
so that his fellow pple can finish that official's whole family.

and if dear rachel refuses.
the hitman outside her father's house will kill poor dad.

so here's a hostage situation in a plane. in the middle of nowhere.
with nowhere to go. and no one to tell.
