how to drive like a local

1. first law of indian driving - you are the king of the road.

2. there is no right or wrong side of the road, usually because there aren't any lane dividers.

3. there is no right or wrong side of the road, even if there are lane dividers.

4. overtaking is worth risking the lives of everyone aboard. you are invincible. you are the king of the road.

5 all buses must have a tilt of at least 10 degrees, for an enjoyable travel experience. air in tires is not essential.

6 2-wheelers have a maximum passenger capacity of 5.

7. engines have a maximum capacity of 60km/h. hit anything beyond that, and the car starts to rumble and shake.

8. the most important part of your vehicle is not the engine, nor the wheels -
but the horn.

(i). honk at anything that moves.

(ii). honk at anything that doens't move.

(iii). keep one hand pressed on the horn at all times.

(iv). horn upgrades are essential - the louder the better.

(v). add tunes to your horn if possible. it helps to annoy the crap out of everyone a mile around.

(vi). supremely, honk at will. but if honked at - ignore. remember, you are the king of the road.

i have one last journey on our indian roads. i'll see you in singapore.
